New Blog and other Fun Stuff….

I have spent the past several hours moving all of the blog posts relating to Desert Vista Dyeworks from the Triple S and D Ranch Blog.  I am feeling the need to be more organized on the business end of things and am hoping that this will be easier for everyone to navigate.

Information about puppies will still be posted at the Triple S and D Ranch Blog.  I will be posting some good news, soon—-looks like we will have a new litter of puppies in the next couple of weeks.

The dye pots have been boiling the past couple of weeks and there have been some new shop updates over the past couple weeks that included several more self-striping yarns.

There is a new contest on the Ravelry Group for January Themed Colorways. Come on over and join us! The creativity of our members has been so much fun!

Here is one of the new self stipers…

October 24, 2011 Design the Colorway Contest

Each month we will be dyeing up “special” colorways in self-striping sock, fingering weight and lace weight.

For November our “special” colorways are:

Grade-School Turkey

Autumn Gradiant

December is coming (in a month and a half—I know-I don’t really want to be reminded, either) and we do not have any “special” colorways chosen.
Here is your chance to design a colorway for either/both a self-striping yarn and fingering/lace weight yarn. Post your ideas in the Desert Vista Dyeworks Ravelry Group or leave a comment on this blog of your ideas of what you would like so see in a December themed selk-striping or Gradiant yarn.
Go Crazy!  Be Original! (We don’t want to borrow other’s creativity!)
If you colorway is chosen (by our illustrious panel of judges-myself and my two daughters…) you will receive that skein a yarn FREE!
December’s contest will end at midnight on November 10th. The colorway will be available for pre-order beginning November 15th. With an approximate shipping date of November 28th.
I can’t wait to see all of you creativity!
